Baltic miniature park
The coast of the Baltic Sea is 8,000 km long and passes through 9 states. In the Baltic Miniature Park in Miedzyzdroje, you can visit all 9 of these countries in just a few tens of minutes. Instead of the sea, a reservoir of water is built in the middle of everything, around which lighthouses are placed. Everything becomes even more realistic thanks to the location and distance of individual buildings in accordance with reality.
The 1:25 scale miniatures were created with great precision to reflect the character of the individual buildings as faithfully as possible. You will see, among others, the Brandenburg and Holstein Gate in Germany, the Orthodox Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Russia, the ruins of the church in Trzęsacza, the castles of Rosenborg in Denmark, the Schweriner Schloss in Germany, the castle in Malbork, the Gdańsk shipyards and the crane over the Motława river in Gdańsk, as well as the lighthouses, including Świnoujście Lighthouse, Bengtskär Lighthouse in Finland, Nida Lighthouse in Lithuania and many others.
The icing on the cake is the miniature railway model with an area of up to 200 m2. You will not find such a large and sophisticated miniature park on the entire Polish coast of the Baltic Sea.

Pier in Miedzyzdroje
The famous Molo Miedzyzdroje, who has never heard of it? Therefore, during your vacation in this city, you must walk along the longest (395 meters) concrete pier in Poland at least once. Otherwise, it’s as if you weren’t even here.
The history of the local pier dates back to 1884, at that time it was entirely wooden. During the First World War, it was blown up due to the fighting and rebuilt in 1921. However, the eventful history of this facility does not end there. In the 1980s, a large part of the pier was destroyed by a strong storm. The whole of Poland contributed financially to its reconstruction. The first part of the rebuilt pier was used in 1995, and the next part in 2005.
Among the interesting things is that the pier is intended for passenger ships (you can sail from there to German seaside towns). For some time, there was also a border crossing, but it was closed in 2007 according to the Schengen Agreement.

Seawater inhabitants live in several dozen aquariums here. These include moray eels, lionfish, stingrays, shrimp, eels, clownfish (known from the Finding Nemo fairy tale), and perhaps even a baby shark.

Its length is less than a kilometer, thanks to which it connects 4 entrances to the beach. In addition to the bridge itself, piers have also been built here, which are great vantage points over the waters of the Baltic Sea. In addition, benches are installed in these places where you can rest for a while.
Fishing port
The fishing harbor in Miedzyzdroje is the only place in the area where we can see fishing boats up close! Yes, ships also appear at the Miedzyzdroje pier, but it is here in the fishing port that you are most likely to see them up close. Unfortunately, this place is also the daily workplace of fishermen, which for you is associated with some inconveniences, such as the waste from the peeling fish lying on the sand, and for many people, the smell… In addition, the flying seagulls lurk on their prey, which the unwary fisherman can throw away.
On the contrary, the big attractions of this place are home fryers, smokehouses, and fish shops, where you can try them. all those freshly caught fish are ready to try in many ways.
Wax figures Museum

With its 11 hectares, it is one of the largest national parks in Poland. The park’s logo proudly features a bald eagle, and that’s no accident. Wolin National Park is on the route of the bird flight path along the Baltic Sea.
Wolin National Park is a paradise not only for animal lovers. It is also a great place for those who miss resting in the bosom of nature. Numerous hiking trails allow you to explore the forest complexes on foot and by bike and to walk around—admire the beautiful cliff coast, for example, from the top of the natural viewpoint called Kawcza Góra.
Bison Reserve in Wolin National Park
If you have already decided to exchange the beach for green nature for once and go to the Wolin National Park, plan a visit to the Bison Game Reserve. By entering the park, which you can find directly in Mezizdroje, you can reach the Zubří obóra after about 1 kilometer of walking along a pleasant shady forest path. And you will be surprised when you come across it. A smaller zoo in the middle of the forest, which cannot be reached by car, probably does not have anyone expect.
This place was originally created to save the species, and every year, they increase by 1-2 calves. But you won’t find only these massive creatures in the bison park. It also shares its dwelling with other animals – deer and wild boars, birds of prey, and smaller beasts that could not survive in their natural environment for various reasons. Here, they find shelter and permanent veterinary care.
And one more interesting thing about bison: all bison names start with the letter “P.” It’s not a coincidence. The second letter of each bison’s name is “O. “P” and “O” form “PO,” a reference to Poland—Polish origin. So today, you can meet individuals with the names Poznaniak II., Polikoś, Polanin II., Powsinoga, Poranek, and others.
Entrance to the bison reserve is paid for, and payment cards are accepted.

Wolin National Park Nature Museum
There are more animal species than plants in Polish forests. But it’s hard to believe because if you want to see a deer, elk, wolf, fox, or marten, you’ll need some luck. And if you really don’t meet any animals in the national park, at least go to the local natural history museum at ul. Niepodległości 3 in Międzyzdroje. It is a place where you will meet the forest’s inhabitants and learn how individual species of animals live, what they feed on, and which of them are at risk of extinction.
The museum complex consists of 5 themed rooms representing living nature (fauna and flora) and non-living nature (stones), which are mostly located in the Wolin area. The form of the presentation will not bore you here either. The scene depicting a wild boar hunting, a sea eagle catching prey, a cross-section of a mole mound, and an eagle owl with outstretched wings make an incredible impression. You will also see badgers, squirrels, martens, wild boars, moose, brown bears, weasels, wolves, and bison for which Wolin is famous, as well as seals, penguins, insects, and birds, including black storks, buzzards, and sea eagles.
Kawcza Góra, between the black and red trail
Where do tourists go for walks on vacation in Miedzyzdroje? The answer is simple and has been the same for years – to a place called Kawcza Góra. If you would like to admire the beauty of the Polish coast from above, head to the eastern part of Miedzyzdroje. Be careful; it will take you some time to get to the top, but climbing all those stairs is worth the effort.
Bunker V3, Międzyzdroje-Zalesie training ground
Military memorabilia from the Second World War period was collected in a small room in the old bunker’s building, and thus, a museum exhibition was created. You will see here, among other things, submachine guns, rifles, grenades, mortars, helmets, and even old guard boots.
The museum is located on the site of the former Międzyzdroje-Zalesie secret test site. The museum is small, but you’ll love it if you’re a WW2 buff.
