Historical monuments and tourist attractions – When you get tired of the sun on the beach, you can set out to discover the beauties of Greek landmarks. Of the famous seven wonders of the world described by Philo of Byzantine in the 2nd and 3rd centuries, four were in ancient Greece (the Colossus of Rhodes on Rhodes, the statue of the god Zeus at Olympia, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the monumental tomb of King Mausoleum and the temple of the goddess Artemis at Ephesus). On every Greek island you will find many churches, temples and other monuments, which reflect the rich history of this country as well as the mythical stories and legends associated with the Greek world of the gods.

Greek gastronomy – In Greece, you can enjoy a variety of Mediterranean cuisine full of fresh vegetables, delicious yoghurts, fish and sheep and goat meat. Everything is prepared in delicious olive oil. Wine vinegar or feta cheese, which is made from sheep’s milk, is added to the salads. One of the traditional Greek dishes is gyros – meat grilled, wrapped in a pancake made of leavened dough with pieces of tomato, lettuce and flavored with mustard or tzatziki. Tzatziki are made from white Greek yogurt with grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil and salt. Souvlaki is also known – lamb with vegetables and spices, which is grilled on a stick. And we must not forget the Greek moussaka, a dish prepared from minced meat and eggplant.
